Bio

Born in Barcelona in 1997, Aitanna Pascual Casaux is a visual artist and artist-researcher whose practice investigates the relationships at the core of human essence and the ways identity, memory, and environment are interconnected. Her artistic formation in Fine Arts, with a specialization in sculpture at the University of Barcelona, established a material-based and research-driven approach to knowledge, understanding sculpture as a field for embodied inquiry. Complementing her artistic practice, she developed expertise in cultural management, enabling her to engage critically with institutional frameworks and to build long-term collaborations with museums, cultural organizations, and research-oriented entities.

Her work unfolds through installations developed from artistic, social, and anthropological research, focusing on identity, movement, and material behavior. A key project, Ghost in the copper(2025), presented at Espronceda Art Center, explored the underwater network, physics, and audience interaction as agents of spatial transformation. Her recent research addresses synthetic materials as organic systems, examining plastic, water geopolitics, and polymer residues within the human body.
